Administrative#

ECTS credits:#

  • 4 ECTS by default

  • Optional: 1 ECTS extra for additional project work

Prerequisites:#

“Introduction to GIS” is required for geography students. Exam must be passed.

Required prior knowledge

  • Basic concepts of GIS, e.g.

    • Coordinate Reference Systems and transformations

    • Vector & raster data formats

  • Basic knowledge of QGIS

    • Importing and exporting vector and raster data

    • Changing the style of layers

    • Working with the attribute table

    • Performing basic vector and raster analyses (e.g. clip, buffer, raster calculations, etc.)

    • QGIS Model Builder

Attendance#

  • Seminar is mandatory. Let us know via email if you cannot attend a seminar session. Especially, if you are supposed to present.

  • Also: Be on time for the seminars! = 9:15
